Brands built leggings for one body shape. If you didn't fit the sample size, you got a bad fit or no option at all.
Performance and aesthetics were treated as a trade-off. Squat-proof gear looked clinical. Stylish gear didn't survive a real workout.
Sizing stopped at XL. Three-plus sizes got a separate, smaller range — always delayed, always limited.

The sketch phase
Simrit drew 40+ silhouettes by hand. Most were cut. Eight made it to fabric sampling. Each took 8 weeks to refine.
First production run
200 units. Sold to friends, gym community, and early customers via Instagram. Sent every order herself from a home studio in Los Angeles.
Expanded size range
Pushed every core style to XS–3XL. The extended sizes weren't a second line — they were graded from the same pattern block.
